Merdeka and Pancake :X

Happy 51st Birthday, Malaysia!

Each year, me and my sister would hang around dad’s room to wait for the live countdown on TV. As soon as the countdown and fireworks were over, we fell asleep. Hah!

But this year is an exception. We were hyper and “rajin” enough to get our butts off the bed, go around town and joined the countdown. It was cool, we seldom go out at night because that is mum’s interpretation of bad girls’. Hanging out in the middle of the night, a big NO NO. There were fireworks! :O Fireworks in the little town of Raub? For a mere 3 minutes? Ok, maybe 5 minutes… Nevertheless, that is huge news for the folks.

Fireworks. Now I realise how hard it is to take pictures of it. Not too bad of a job, eh?

Finally a family photo after a long time.

When we finally got home, it was no surprise that mum, dad and Esther crawled into bed as fast as they could.

Me and Becca were hungry and she made… PANCAKES!

Despair and Disappointment

Final exam results are out. And to be honest, I am really sad. No, more than sad. I’m devastated, dissapointed and shocked. Yes, that would be it. I expected a far better result. Internal marks were fairly good. And that is why I let myself to hope. Hope for a better score. When your hopes are high, you are bound to fall harder.

It is times like this that I feel cheated. C-H-E-A-T-E-D

I’d done my best. But sometimes, the best is just not enough.

Maybe I am just not smart enough.

Well that explains it all. Now I can stop working so hard.

Being 20 & Everthing Between

If being 20 years old means I still don’t have a say on my hair color, then being twenty damn years old SUCKS!

I was a blondie a few days ago. Not anymore though. Dad and mum can’t accept it and had me re-dye it. They were practically bugging me every few hours about it. Mum, kept eyeing me and making comments. 😛

This is happens everytime that I had my hair dyed. I guess I shouldn’t be so surprised. ;(

Anyway, Adrian turned 20 today. Happy Birthday 🙂 Hope you have more freedom than me. I have conservative parents.

I’m hating Digi. Dad just gave me a scolding. Phone bill mounts up to RM100++
I’ve never had any problems back when I was using Celcom. Is it just me or what? I’m thinking of switching back but then again, the problem is telling everybody I’m switching again.

Holiday Readings

I have a lot of time on my plate. At least until uni reopens. I plan to catch up with my reading. I’ve bought quite a few books for the past few months. Been meaning to read it but there were just too many lab reports and assignments to be done and editted. Reading stupid journals takes up a lot of time.

I promise I won’t buy any more books until I read them all.

Yeah, I finally got the Twilight series. Becca, be jealous! Still have Breaking Dawn to collect.

I actually bought this because I can’t stand the puppy face. Life and love with the world’s worst dog. Hah! I’ve got the world’s worst dog. Seriously.

I wanted Wuthering Heights initially but I couldn’t find it. End up buying Journey to The Centre of The Earth. I’m giving classics a shot.

Movie Review

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.

It was a-ok. It makes me want to know more about the Chinese history a bit more. The emperor, Emperor Han, was a cruel man they say. Burying his enemies and slaves in the Great Wall of China. That is pure evil. Evelynn, in the movie looks weird. They got a new actress to play her part which makes it weird. No chemistry between Rick O’ Connell and Evelynn. Their son, Alex, was weird too. And not handsome, it is a crime!

The X Files: I Want to Believe

Seriously, this movie is the worst movie I’ve ever watched. Dana Scully and Fox Mulder are all old and wrinkly. The movie line is weak, the characters didn’t evolve much and there’s no action. This time around, they aren’t chasing aliens *which would be way better* they running around following this old perverted man who claims to be a psychic. Perverted old man dies, Fox and Dana kiss and make up and hence the usual happy ending. Boring.

This movie made me screamed loudly in the cinema. A few times. I will never look at mirrors the same again. As Ben (Kiefer Sutherland) patrols the eerie, charred remains of the Mayflower store, he begins to notice something sinister about the mirrors that adorn the Mayflower walls. Reflected in the gigantic shimmering glass are horrific images that stuns him. Ben Carson: What if the mirrors can actually make us do things we don’t want to do?
The part that I like the most is probably when the mirrors were attacking his family. The 6 year old is seriouly disturbed by the mirror. It’s been a long time since the last good horror movie.
